1. What are “Fresh” gourmet chocolates? |
“Fresh” gourmet chocolates are delicious chocolates that are lovingly made in small batches and shipped direct to the customer within days of production. Unlike some mass producers of chocolates which make them months in advance of shipment.
2. Will I receive a confirmation of my order?
Yes, absolutely! Your confirmation of your order will be sent to the valid, working email address you provide upon placing your order. It will have an order number, total and other pertinent information. (Please check all emails, please place us on your favorites list.)
3. Can I request a catalog?
All Chocolate Gourmet Candy sweets and chocolates are listed on our web site, it is the best place to view our delectable items. We do not have a separate printed catalog.
4. Will I know when my order ships?
Yes, upon shipping your gourmet chocolates or decadent sweets order, we will send you an email with a tracking number, when available. (Remember to place us on your favorites list, so your email from us does not end up in your SPAM file.)
5. Do your chocolates contain nuts?
Yes, some of our chocolates do contain nuts. With chocolates being made on the same production line; chocolates not containing nuts may have come into contact with nuts and/or nut oils.
6. Can the chocolates be frozen?
Chocolates can be frozen up to two months; if placed in two plastic bags. (Store away from strong odors!) The chocolates we ship are very fresh and should be eaten immediately upon opening. If frozen, please allow our chocolates to warm to room temperature before opening the container. Be sure to allow four to six hours. (Some blooming may occur, though not harmful, it just is not to pleasing to the eye.)
7. How long can I keep fudge?
Fudge will stay fresh for 10 days to 2 weeks if properly wrapped or packaged. Keep fudge at room temperature. Refrigerating will dry it out. Fudge also freezes well. Make sure it is wrapped or packaged appropriately and it will keep for months.
8. How do I store my chocolates?
Chocolates we ship are very fresh and should be eaten immediately upon opening. If the chocolates are not to be opened immediately, please store them in the refrigerator up to two weeks, in double plastic bags. Please allow our chocolates in the bags to come to room temperature before opening the container......allow at least two hours. Keep chocolates away from direct sunlight, sources of strong odors; as chocolate will absorb the smell and it will affect flavor and or taste.
9. How long can I keep my biscotti?
Our Italian Gourmet Specialty Biscotti can be kept for up to 6 months, if kept in a cool place away from heat and in an airtight container. If frozen biscotti may be kept for up to 1 year.
10. I can dip my biscotti in tea or coffee, but how else can it be served?
Our Italian Biscotti is also great as a snack or dipped in your cappuccino, espresso, or a chocolate fountain or fondue. Also it is great paired with a favorite wine
11. What about food allergens in your products?
The chocolates and sweets that we sell are made by a variety of manufacturers across the country and they use different types of ingredients. Some of the many ingredients used may contain or have come in contact with dairy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, yeast, tree nuts, soy, coconut or gluten.
12. What kind of chocolate do you use?
A lot of our sweet confections are crafted with Belgian chocolate, or a blend of quality chocolates.
13. How do you ship in the warm weather months?
We want to make sure your chocolates and or sweet treats arrive in quality condition. Therefore we ship orders ground or 2nd day air with insulated cartons, cold packs and or dry ice, at our expense. We will not ship orders over the weekend. (Upon receiving your order please dispose of packing materials and dry ice in a responsible and proper manner.)
14. What is your return policy?
We do not except returns on food products. All sales on food products are final. Refused shipments will not receive a credit.
Please Note: Chocolate Gourmet Candy is not responsible for melted chocolate. If you order a product – be there to receive the shipment. We will not issue refunds on melted chocolates.
15. Do you ship outside of the United States?
Due to the perishable nature of our products we only ship within the Continental United States. Our chocolates and sweets are fresh made and delayed shipments will effect the quality; therefore we do not ship outside the United States.
