Easy Smooth Toffee Sauce
1 Can Evaporated milk, 7 ounces
(unopened, label removed)
On the stove place a large, heavy cooking pot, place the unopened can of milk in the pot, and completely cover with water. Bring water to a boil, and continue boiling for 3 hours. Make sure to keep the water level up above the can, during the 3 hours.
After 3 hours, remove the can from the water. Let it cool, before trying to open.
When the can has cooled, open and pour the toffee sauce on chocolate ice cream, fudge cake, or use as a pie filling.
