Chocolate Frosting
1 cup Chocolate Chips, semi sweet, (6 oz)
1/3 cup Whipping Cream
1 tsp Butter, unsalted
1 tsp Vanilla, extract, pure
½ cup Powdered Sugar
In a small nonstick sauce pan, melt the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring until all melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and add the whipping cream, butter and vanilla. Blend all together until creamy. Stir in the powdered sugar until thick and spreadable.
Frosting can be spread on cookies, or crackers. Let the frosting stand until it is set.
Chocolate Glaze
4 Tbl Butter, unsalted
1/4 cup Cocoa, powder, unsweetened
½ cup Milk
1 ½ cup Powdered Sugar
½ tsp Almond Extract
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in the cocoa powder and then add the milk until you get a thin consistency. If the glaze is too thick, add some more milk.
While bringing the butter and milk mixture to a boil, whisk in powdered sugar and the almond extract. The glaze should be thin. Remove glaze from the heat and allow to cool before using.
